The Wall Germander (Teucrium chamaedrys), is a species of ornamental plant native to Mediterranean region of Europe and North Africa, and to the Middle East as far east as Iran. Above-ground parts are usable parts of the plant., ie flowers. During the flowering season, flowering branches are collected and dried in suitable conditions. It is used as appetizer, stimulant, good wounds and antipyretic. The plant carries essential oils, bitter substances, tannins, glycosides and saponins.
