Asteraceae or Compositae (commonly referred to as the aster, daisy, composite,or sunflower family) is a very large and widespread family of flowering plants (Angiospermae).Asteraceae is an economically important family, providing products such as coffee substitutes and herbal teas. Asteraceae are also used for some industrial purposes and it is common in commercial poultry feeds and its oil is extracted for uses in cola and the cigarette industry.
